Upcoming Event: Open Research in the Philippines
The Institute for Leadership, Empowerment, and Democracy, with the support of Open Knowledge International and SPARC, is convening a Roundtable Discussion on Open Research in the Philippines as part of the Open Data Day global celebration this March 3, 2018.
The RTD will gather academic and research institutions, working on a goal of bridging gaps between education and resources through open and quality research landscape. This is a stocktaking initiative to discuss the barriers and opportunities in democratizing access and sharing of data and research materials among institutions and researchers.
We are inviting university libraries, research units of colleges and universities, student organizations, and government and private research institutions to join us in the discussion to start building a community that will promote open data research in the country. The RTD will be on March 3, 2018 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Meranti Hotel, 82 Scout Castor Street, Barangay Laging Handa, Quezon City. This will be a networking opportunity so bring your business cards and promotional materials with you!
